Our longstanding partnership with Pearson plc, a major international media company, has facilitated the exciting Reading Tents Project in East Africa. Pearson's financial support and several donations of books, helped more than 10,000 school children to participate in reading promotion activities. Participating schools gained new collections of books, which helped to boost literacy levels and a love of reading. The project is run locally by book development councils in three countries, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
