Volunteer Collectors

We need volunteer book collectors!

Do you have a car? Would you and your car like to see a bit more of London?

We are currently looking for volunteer book collectors in all areas of London who can pick up books from donors in their area or in Central London and deliver them to us in Camberwell. The role involves collecting boxes of donated books from a variety of small publishers and other similar organisations. You then bring them over to us in Camberwell (south London), ideally on a fortnightly basis. How to find us.

If you think you could help, we would love to hear from you.

Why do we need collectors?
Book Aid International doesn't have any funds available for transporting books donated in the UK. Most of the time we rely on publishers and transport companies to arrange for the free delivery of books to us. However, smaller companies often don't have any way of getting their books to Camberwell. Without the support of our volunteer drivers we'd have to turn down all those top-quality books that we know are really in high demand and would be very useful overseas.
