Second-Hand Book Donations on Hold
Thank you so much for your interest in making a donation of books to Book Aid International. Unfortunately, due to the high number of brand-new-quality book donations we have received from UK publishers, we are currently unable to accept second-hand book donations from individuals or schools.
We would love to be able to accept and send more books but we are limited by space in the warehouse and the costs involved in sorting, selecting and shipping. With your help, Book Aid International has sent over half a million books each year to our partners in the developing world - and on behalf of our readers everywhere, we would like to say a huge thank you to those who have donated in the past!
The fantastic support we receive from schools each World Book Day enables us to send thousands of books to support readers in the developing world. In 2007, schools raised an amazing £58,000 - enough to send over 46,000 books to our partners! To find out more visit our Kid Zone.
Holding a Book Sale
If you have already collected books, why not try holding a book sale? You could donate the proceeds to Book Aid International - you could have a book sale party with friends, at the office, or get to know your neighbours by setting up a table outside your house or at school! It costs us just £1.25 to send a book to the developing world, so even a small donation would be a fantastic way to help us send books to support learners of all ages.

Book Donations - Publishers
If you represent a publisher or bookseller please have a look at our publishers' page where you can find out more about donating books to us. The book trade provides us with much-needed support through giving donations of overstocks and returns.
If you have any questions, please email Louise Miller, or telephone on 020 7733 3577.
