World Book Day 2008
On 6 March 2008 millions of children across the UK took part in celebrations and many got involved in fundraising to support Book Aid International. Thanks to their amazing support we have received over £59,500 in donations so far this year - enough to provide more than 43,500 books for readers in the developing world! Thank you VERY much everyone!
Reading Tents We would like to highlight some of our partner organisations in Africa's inspiring work to encourage reading. In many schools, there are no libraries and children have absolutely no access to story books to improve their skills. Many of our partners run reading promotion programmes that involve setting up children's reading tents.
