Huge congratulations to Lesley Pinder who recently returned from cycling to Paris with her brother for Book Aid International! Here is how she got on:
"We did it! If you'd asked either of us four months ago if we could cycle 300 miles to Paris we would both have said no! But, thanks to the amazing support of our friends, family and colleagues we arrived in Paris on Saturday 9th May along with 106 other cyclists all riding for charities they were passionate about. It really was a brilliant experience - the event organisers Skyline Overseas kept us fed, watered and going the right way, we met some fantastic people and, most importantly, we raised over £3,800 for Book Aid International. It made all the training and hard work worth while!
I can't recommend this kind of event highly enough, not only do you have a huge sense of achievement when you finish but it is a great way to raise money and spread the word that books change lives!"
