The following activities explore themes around reading, literacy and books in sub-Saharan Africa and at home. They involve individual thinking, discussion, debate, research, presentation and team work as well as creative writing, critical writing, reading and art and design. They are designed for the 8 – 11 age group (Key Stage 2) but can be adapted for both younger and older age groups as required.
As well as the activities and resources below, we have a DVD which features films about some of the places where we work and how books change lives. You can view the films online here or request them on DVD by e-mailing us or calling 0207 733 3577.
