Each year, we send 500,000 books to sub-Saharan Africa and beyond and support projects in primary schools and community libraries where books really can change lives.
The support of schools and colleges around the UK plays a huge part in making this work possible. Your fundraising efforts in 2010 jave so far raised over £45,000 which will help us to send more than 22,000 books to sub-Saharan Africa.
It would be fantastic if in 2011 this could be even higher!
There are lots of ways your school could raise money for Book Aid International. Why not hold a special reading tent event, have a book sale or dress up as your favourite fictional character? To help you raise money for Book Aid International we have produced some information sheets on different fundraising events you can try. We’ve also produced downloadable resources like posters, sponsorship forms and promotional hints and tips to help you raise as much money as possible! If you’d like any more information from us please do get in touch by e-mailing us now or call 020 7326 5803.
