Pearson first supported Book Aid International in 1980, have been one of our largest corporate supporters in recent years and are our most generous book donor.
We have worked together in a number of ways:
- They have supported our World Book Day activities – through sponsorship of our resources for schools and the donation of Dorling Kindersley books as prizes for our top fundraisers
- They have provided financial support for a number of our projects including the Kisumu Children’s Book Clubs and the transformation of a number of Maarifa Centres in Tanzania
- Since 1996 they have donated over 2,500,000 books through our book donation programme including a range of brilliant vocational and educational titles. We are proud to have received support from across their business including donations from Pearson Education, Penguin and Puffin Children’s Books
- Their staff have volunteered their time to join our evening book stamping and packing sessions.
