Reed Elsevier have been supporting our work for nearly ten years. By donating time and money from across many parts of their business, the partnership has found innovative ways to build on our mutual strengths.

Children reading books funded by Reed Elsevier, Petit Dan and Sarah Orphanage, Cameroon
Since 2003 Reed Elsevier Group has:
- donated over 770,000 books.
- provided financial assistance for special projects including library and reading programmes in Cameroon, Kenya, Namibia, and Sierra Leone.
- helped raise awareness of our work – since 2005 Elsevier books have featured the stamp “Working together to grow libraries in developing countries,” alongside our logo and that of US book donation partner, Sabre.
- provided free exhibition space. Reed Exhibitions have donated space at London Book Fair, enabling us to meet with book donors and secure future financial and book support.
- involved its staff in our fundraising initiatives including Bring a Book to Work Week.
- donated £2 for every person participating in the Elsevier online research study.
- sent a team of staff from Lexis Nexis to paint our London warehouse.
- supported us through donations from staff in their offices in London, Amsterdam and the U.S.
- Committed a three year grant of $120,000 from The Elsevier Foundation – under their Innovative Libraries in Developing Countries programme - to train librarians and establish Health Corners in 15 public libraries over three years.
Thank you to everyone at Reed Elsevier!
