Bike for Books

A huge thank you to all our cyclists!

Our last Bike for Books cycling challenge held in September 2011 was a literary-themed route of fun and fitness!

Despite it being a day of all weathers and some challenging hills to tackle, we all reached the finish line for a well deserved celebratory BBQ and drink at the Bear Inn pub in Burwash.

In total, the event raised over £8,500, which will enable us to send 4,250 books to libraries in sub-Saharan Africa to support literacy, education and development through out these countries.

The hard work was all down to our amazing cyclists who did a tremendous job at fundraising for Book Aid International. A massive thank you to everyone who kindly donated – your support is very much appreciated!

Here’s a photo of our team of cyclists getting ready at the start line outside the Book Aid International office in Camberwell.

Here’s a glimpse of the route our riders undertook!
