Libraries

There are many bookish ways to fundraise at your library – see our fundraising ideas for inspiration. Here are a few suggestions to get you started…

Library fines day: Nominate a day to donate all library fines to Book Aid International! You could make it part of your World Book Day celebrations.

A big book sale: If your library has a collection of old unused books, then why not hold a big book sale in aid of Book Aid International.

Bake for Books: Because cake and books are soul mates! Hold a cake sale, a bookish bake off or get creative making cakes inspired by books!

It costs £2 to select, pack and ship one book to our partners. With your support we’ll be able to fill the book shelves of hundreds of public and community libraries in some of the most remote regions of Africa, where books are a luxury very few can afford.

To advertise your event, download our what? when? where? poster to get you started.

If you choose to hold an event at your library, we’d love to hear your stories, so please get in touch and tell us about your activities – we can also feature your library on our blog, twitter or facebook pages.

Whatever you choose to do, we’re here to help! For more information or to receive a fundraising pack in the post, please get in touch or call 020 7733 3577.
