Job title: Individual Giving Manager (35 hours per week)

 Salary: c.33k

 Location: London

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our highly successful fundraising team at this international development charity. The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for our well-established and growing individual giving programme, which provides a significant portion of our c. £1.8m overall income. The role is also responsible for our smaller community fundraising and legacy giving programmes, with one line report.

It is a pivotal time for growth and diversification in the programme, with support and investment for growth a priority in the organisation. The post offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated and adaptable individual to join a successful fundraising team in a growing charity.

We’re keen to develop this role for the right person, and for this reason we would encourage candidates who are looking to take a step up in their career or who have other skills and experience which demonstrate a good fit for this role.

Salary: c. £32,000 per annum

Location: London, with up to 8 weeks travel to Africa p.a.

Book Aid International works in partnership with libraries in Africa providing books, resources and training to support an environment in which reading for pleasure, study and lifelong learning can flourish. Every year, Book Aid International provides up to one million new books, donated by UK publishers, to libraries in sub-Saharan Africa. We also provide training for librarians to ensure that readers get the very best from our donated books, and grants for purchasing locally-published books and for library refurbishments. Our work is practical, effective and empowering.

This is an excellent time to join our growing Programmes Team. This is a new position which has been established to further expand the work that Book Aid International is undertaking in the sector.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a background in education or literacy, publishing or librarianship. International/developing world experience would be an advantage.
